Coronavirus Polyartrit

‼️Why you shouldn’t stopping taking Rheumatoid Arthritis Medication , if you are infected with the Coronavirus‼️

Did you know that many viruses are an inevitable free-rider of biological evolution, viruses already exist in evolution? Viruses can save or kill lives. Viruses are ghosty creatures on the border between living and dead. They help in various types of cancer treatments, gene therapy, but they also have their dark sides.
The corona virus belongs to the bad guys.

The Robert Koch Institute in Germany (RKI) counts patients with autoimmune diseases who take immunosuppressive drugs among the groups of people, who according to current knowledge, have a higher risk of developing a serious illness in the event of an infection. For this group of people, recommends Robert Koch Institute  a reduction in external contacts and, if necessary, early contact by phone with the family doctor if symptoms of an infection with the novel corona virus appear.
Immunosuppressants (e.g. cortisone, methotrexate, biologics, JAK inhibitors) shouldn’t never be stopping without consulting the doctor! The active, inflammatory rheumatic disease itself is usually more dangerous for infection by viral infections than the therapy of this disease. If you are confirmed to be infected, contact your rheumatologist by phone.

Never stop taking the cortisone

There is no point in stopping your treatment with biologicals, TNF inhibitors etc. Only after about 6 months has a medication floated out of the body, right!

The only thing you can do it. If you get something, you shouldn’t take a a small break after the outbreak. Make a break with an injection, but not more.

If your RA is suddenly reactivated, you have no longer suppressed your immune system. The inflammatory process continues, your body is not concentrating on the virus. You know that our immune system is misdirected.

What can you do to stay healthy?

Therefore, rather minimize the RA and push your immune system through a healthy diet. Don’t smoke, avoid warm rooms. Ventilate all rooms several times.

  • No shake hands
  • Hand wash often, no hugs
  • Keep 2 meters away (distance) from people who are sick
Actually, these are the usual golden rules for us! 😉 Keep save

I hope people regain awareness that we are vulnerable, that we do more wash hands, more hygiene

The anti-IL-6 receptor Actemra/RoActemra will been testet in hospitalised patients with severe COVID-19 pneumonia.

Browse to Roche

IL-6 is believed to play a key role in activating the inflammatory pathway leading to the signs and symptoms of RA and other autoimmune inflammatory diseases.

Liz you take one of the newest anti-IL-6 receptor drugs. What are you thinking about that!
